Been busy lately but managed to get this done between life things.

This one is about giving advice or help to our children as they take their first steps out into the big bad world.

2 guitars left and right
1 synth guitar (Boss SY 200) in the background
1 lead 1 backing vocal
HB Bass
Garageband drums

The days are getting longer and you
Gotta spread your wings that's true
But you gotta take care y'now
You gotta do what's right for you

And life is never easy and
There too many things left unsaid
But there's a whole lotta living
And a whole lotta life up ahead

Don't forget what I told you
Not to look behind
You've gotta turn the other cheek to them
When you see the danger signs
When you see the danger signs

You gotta wait your turn
But you know your time will surely come
And don't be getting down
Because your life has only just begun

You got the whole world ahead of you
And you can do most anything
But you gotta let it out y'know
You gotta let them hear you sing

Don't forget what I told you
Not to look behind
You've gotta turn the other cheek to them
When you see the danger signs
When you see the danger signs

And if you find it too hard you know
That you can always come on home
Cause it's a long way down
But you know that you are not alone

And you can't try to fix
the things you can't even see
You'll find your place and you know
What will be will be

Don't forget what I told you
Not to look behind
You've gotta turn the other cheek to them
When you see the danger signs
When you see the danger signs

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

enjoyable rock song, i like the gritty edge to the song and rhythm keeps you engaged throughout, good musical hook with the rhythm and  good message too. enjoyed

Cool song, Mike with an important message in the lyrics. I like how that rhythm guitar drives the song along and that discordant change on the last line of the chorus works so well when it resolves to C#7th then to F# minor (I haven't a clue what that weird chord is but it works great)

Mike,
man dude.... you absolutely nailed this....wow... honestly, you know how much I love your music but.... I think this may be your BEST SONG YET!!!

It would seem to me that the intensity of the subject matter and your emotion to it takes this track way up there.  The lyrics just flow so perfect with the music.  I love the progression... it's very 90's I think... there were alot of great bands that had wonderful sounds.. this just tops it...

The spot where you sing about the signs of danger your choice of chords hammers home the danger... the warning... awesome.

Really dig the vocals and the backing over to the side... these are perfect for this track... the vocals really satisfy me......

That underbelly lead is ferocious also... it would be easy to miss... I heard it the second time... there is a lot going on in this seemingly innocent song... but it is an absolute belter!

Cool intro - love it when the drums kick in. Good lyrics, good delivery, good song!

Some great advice in those lyrics mike. This is a brilliant coming of age song. The panned guitars sound great and those drums and bass keep it all flowing nicely. Lovely vocals and a brilliant solo.
