Three chords and sappy country-rock lyrics    I had the chorus two days ago but all attempted verses sounded bad. This morning a first verse line and melody came to mind and the rest came very quickly.  (edit: redid vocals, bass in chorus, and tweaked mix)

the drums really pop... solid rockin stuff... sort of like Mellencamp's Ken Aronoff

the guitars mix is to die for...it really fits this style of song... and the volume is just right!  Bravo on the guitars man..

Bass is solid like most rock songs... you would notice it if it wasn't there for sure but also nothing really stands out... but it absolutely is perfect here...

all the beautiful sound makes a sonic featherbed for your vocals to fall right into.... and that chourus does rock and is very catchy!
