One for the Newsfest. getting sick of the rise of fascism and xenophobia in modern times, particularly from our current government in the UK, playing to the lowest common denominator. i thought we learned from the past, seems we didn't.a tree hugger singing from the heart. this one's for the boat people.

It is what it is and excuse my sinuses.

In this age of shadows, the seeds are sown
A darkness emerges, unmasked for all to see
Oh, the cries of the innocent, drowned in the night
In the depths of despair, we search for the light
Through the darkest hour, hope will shine
And the melodies of truth, will break our chains
In the theatre of dreams, we will stage our revolt
A symphony of souls, a force to behold
As the echoes fade, our voices will endure
Through the chaos and noise, we'll find harmony
In the face of oppression, courageous and bold
Oh let the melodies of resistance unfold
So let the rhythm guide us, dance to the beat
No walls can divide us, no borders in our way
A chorus of dreamers, with a message so clear
Guided by hope, ignoring the fear
As the echoes fade, our voices will endure
Through the chaos and noise, we'll find harmony
In the face of oppression, courageous and bold
Oh let the melodies of resistance unfold

This reminds me alot of Roger Waters and Floyd circa Animals LP which was my favorite of the group.

The music is a solid underpinning for the voice of desperation...

Solid!

Beautiful and timely. These are words that need to be heard today. They fit perfectly with the somber, electric piano-based arrangement.

Sorry to see a return to this kind of rhetoric.

Asylum seekers are human beings in an intolerable situation trying to survive. There but for the grace of God could go any of us.

Love the piano backing it does have a slight Pink Floyd vibe. Do like the strange but slightly bluesy chords that appear every now and again... they give it a really interesting edge. Good tune.

Your vulnerable sustained vocal melodies really speak to me. Strong message says the tie-dye wearer in me. .
