  Be Your Star

1. When I was a little boy...I looked over yonder
Whoa! I looked over yonder
There she sat my only joy...oh how I loved her
How I loved her...oh how I loved her...

WHERE EVER YOU WANDER, THERE I WILL FOLLOW
NOWHERE CAN BE THAT FAR
A NEW CLEAR LIGHT THAT LIGHTS UP YONDER
THIS CAN BE YOUR STAR...YOUR STAR

2. Well I thought I would win her with lines of poetry
Right from my heart
But the teacher did spot me a doing it slyly
She told me off, blah, blah, blah
She made me read it out loud
Meet me at break-time girl...Meet me at break-time girl...
(CHORUS)

This is where her love bled out
Upon the rocky shore
(This is what you wanted, this is what you get)
Holding on to empty sand...for love

(INST BREAK)
(CHORUS  x2)

I get to be the first to review this cool song! The guitar harmonies, throughout, are great. This reminds me of an early Beatles' style with John singing, which is alright by me. The production and mix sound right on the money to my ears. Well done fellas (Darren and Kallen)!

Always look forward to hearing your latest offering, Darren and I'm never disappointed. Excellent production and great creative writing. Those harmony guitars sound so cool; so do Keiths 'Lennon-esque' vocals. Nice bright song to herald in spring.

It's like a modern day glam rock murder ballad.....wild ride for sure....lots going on and it holds together nicely......wild stuff boys

this is such a massive hit right off the bat... wow... so sweet, what a story...
and such incredibly satisfying music... starts at A and ends at Z in style and substance throughout...lots of wonderful twists and turns with in the song... and yet enough repetition that one doesn't notice the former... clever lads...clever... and great.

Definite Lennon reminders here, but also Cheap Trick comes to mind for me.
Really cool song, sounds fab. Great lead playing too.

Countryish pop with a hint of May harmonies. Cheap Trick and Lennon for sure. And a lot of 70's vibe in this. Great smooth pop song. Those melodies are to die for. I might even kill for them. Just tell me who...
