"Orchid Faded Sky 2.0" (Farrell Jackson 2023)

Just fell out of a fairy tale
Flying low without a sail
Just inches from the ground
Looking up and falling down

The air burns my eyes
It's another painted sky
The air burns my eyes
It's another orchid faded sky

Gloomers, doomers, and boomers alike
Searching for another pay hike
Multi-zones and climate controls
Spare parts from future clones

The air burns my eyes
It's another painted sky
The air burns my eyes
It's just another orchid faded sky

(solo)

The air burns my eyes
It's just another painted, orchid faded sky

Billionaires just having fun
Flying spaceships to the sun
Driver friendly steering wheels
They cure it all with dollar bills

And the air still burns my eyes...

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

I always love your vocals Farrell, they're dependably excellent. I like the high/ low tracks. The mix  and production quality is  great. That guitar line is very cool too.
Another keeper!

my goodness man.... this track is blowing my mind.... I was reading the lyrics to this while listening...

what a perfect expression of what we have around now!

The music sets a theatrical, almost Bond like scape.... danger, adventure, the unknown looms.  It's alot of wonderment to get lost into... at times it sounds Rush like (more for the ones who heard most of their music... not so much the radio stuff.)

I will say this is so up there I cannot find a spaceship with enough lift to get me up to see this!

I love what you did vocally as well.... the backing vocals and leads reminds me of the way Steve Miller did stuff, not that you sound like him per se but the way you go about it.... the octave stuff... I love that.
I hope I hear this a thousand times!

I am pretty moved by this one, and will not be disrespectful with expletives combined with silly banter. Simon says all the way. And that fake ending, loved that. Perfect music with awesome doubled/panned vox.

Just keep it down Marky boy. You can do it.

Wait... Simon said something. I have to break my promise, this is too good.

Fuck yeah this rocks!!!! Naked through the streets with headphones on rockin'!

I'm an idiot, but the song is awesome - Well done guys

I always look forward to clicking play on your posts. They can go anywhere genre-wise, and the arrangement, execution, and production is always so pro.

Great tune as per your usual.
