Hello everyone!

To me normal the writing process is that I browse old song sketches of Micro BR and try to get them to finished songs. But this came out suddenly on last Friday; I chosed guitar tones of my BR-80 and pushed the record button and sent it to Tim. This is significant song to me, because I play drums first time on my recordings.

Writing new music is an excellent way go get healed :)

Thanks Tim for the excellent job you've done on lyrics, vocals and solo guitar.

MIDNIGHT SUN

Doesn't matter if it's day or night
Doesn't matter if I'm up or down
Now I am free of the gilded cage
A falcon in the gyre

I almost drowned in my own mind
I was on my way to the other side
But I tricked the ferryman
Now every minute is a gun for hire

The wraiths of winter
Undone by the midnight sun
This curse of darkness
Undone by the midnight sun

Every hour unfolds before me
A brand new map that I'm filling in
I can see a phoenix in those flames
The wheel of fortune takes another spin

The wraiths of winter
Undone by the midnight sun
This curse of darkness
Undone by the midnight sun

All those moments you didn't know what you were looking for
Are given back to you, for you to dance with evermore

The wraiths of winter
Undone by the midnight sun
This curse of darkness
Undone by the midnight sun

Wow what a great collab US folks that live down south dont always understand the darkness of winter, I lived in snow country for some years in my younger days and hated the darkness.  Everything from the smoking guitars vocal are nice and clear.  Great job on the drumming

A good collab. Kari and Tim! The guitars and drums are cool Kari. A real fine guitar solo Tim and the words/vocals have a mysterious vibe to them. I like it!

Fantastic collab by two Songcrafters legends! The drumming and guitars sound great, and a stellar lyric and vocals from Tim.

Kari, how do you like the Alesis Nitro kit? I've been thinking about getting an electronic kit a while now, but I don't know where I'd put it!

Dudes!!! You both found perfect common ground here, Kari on the rhythm section as he always crushes that. And now the drums enter the scene, which sound great!

The "top end" from Tim is seamless and just elevates everything waaaay up into the stratosphere!

Fabulous chorus, it sucked me right in.

Yes, I love it.

Thanks for listening and commenting, everybody.

At first, I bought a second hand cheapo Alesis Light kit and I must say that Mesh Kit is much better. The volume level (and other parameters as well) of each pad is easily adjustable. For example the volume preset of hi-hat was far too loud. (Commonly known thing what I have read on reviews). Mesh Kit has more acoustic drum set feel. The only bad thing (for a beginner like me) is that snare and toms are smaller than on acoustic kits, but it's sure a common feature on e-drums.

A mighty fine collab! And those drums are electric (both the performance and the kit :)).
