Hi all, haven't got much playing in of late, tried a few times but it just sounded rubbish. Anyway I was thinking what a sad place airports are when you've just received a letter that says the romance is dead.

Crafter 12 String, Fender Jazzmaster, Fender Precision, BR800 drums.
I was tired and drawn when we landed
Bruised from the words that I'd read
No punches were pulled in that letter
When you said you'd rather be dead

Than stay with me
You'd rather be
On your Own again
Without me

I looked to see if you'd met me
Holding a sign with my name
And a message that said you'd forgive me
But I read that letter again

You won't stay with me
You'd rather be
On your own again
Without me

Instrumental

You won't stay with me
You'd rather be
On your own again
Without me

You won't stay with me
You'd rather be
On your own again
Without me

The guitar parts work so well here. I love the layered parts and it sounds so crisp! Nice to see you've got a Jazzmaster, I don't remember you mentioning that before. Heavenly Americana as always!

The twelve string adds a cool jingle jangle to the song and the harmony guitar sections are top notch! A sad story but the words, melody, vocals, and music fit like a tailor-made suit.  Well done Willie!

Great song, love the guitars, 12 string is nice. Good groove, sad lyrics but brilliant vocals. Love the lead solos

I love the melanchol vibe of this. Sad lyrics match nicely on music. Well played, performed and produced!

Great tune Willie, great to hear you again. I can sympathise with your writers block lately, we've all been there. This is great though. Heavenly outro with those harmonised guitars, worth the entrance fee alone just to hear that, but a very cool track all round.

Perfect Travelling Wilbury's / Americana jangle and pop hooks. The harmonised solo parts are so fine. Quite uplifting for such a depressing subject. Great work!
