A sad story about Macey ......
Macy Green is lovely girl
she believes every word you say
She don't believe in a bad bad world
She's in a dream

Charlie  on the other hand
Oh he Knows just how to play
He knows to get in first
Because Fairness doesn't pay
doesn't pay
It doesn't pay

Macy Green she'll give you her last dime
She trusts that you would pay her back in kind

But Charlie, he was a wise guy
He lived on the streets night and day
He knew how to play those lady in every way
He was the devil in disguise
He  knew she wasn't street wise
He took pleasure
in
the play
the play
Macy turned tricks everyday
She had to learn how to play
Macy Green was treasure
for Charlie

It was cool to listen to as you make great music, but when the vox came in I was blown out of the room, into the hallway and out the door into the street!!

Sweet groove all the way - Love the story too.

This is friggin' awesome bub!

Third Trev on a one sitting. It can feel a bit much, but in my mind i'm hearing these as an album. Or perhaps as an EP as i'm not going for more... Gotta save some goodies for later.

The guitar and piano are still working together in a cohesive yet unnerving manner. The best is saved for the last and that is the vocal performance. There's a bit of soul, a whole lot of grit and a bit of spittle heard in this vocal take to end all vocal takes.

I could see this song becoming a kind of a Trevorian Rhapsody meets I Don't Like Mondays (But that's ok as they are Manic Mondays anyhow) if fleshed out further.

cool as a cucumber music... and the lyric delivers another heavy hitting hammer of a story that tells an all too familiar tale.  The acoustic guitar is a big star here... and then the piano... is just right.  Lovely and simple...elegant.

singing is super like always...

You write great songs and always present them just right, Trev. That vocal of yours is stunning with a touch of Robert Plant but mostly your own original vibe. Great creative work.

Brilliant Trev.  Your usual great imagery and delivery.

I always knew Charlie was a wrong-un.
