New gear used: Danelectro '57 Guitar, JHS Octave Reverb Pedal

Another new gear fest with a new guitar!  ;)  Somewhat of an impluse buy but I loved the sound of my Dano 12 string when converted to a 6 so in order to get those tones still I went out and bought another Dano. I think it sounds even better (I remember hearing Danelectro upgraded their pickups in these newer models). It's doing the 3 main picking parts with my octave reverb which I got 2 months ago but havent used on a song yet. It does very heavenly shimmer reverb for fairly cheap and is very high quality. The other electric parts (and there are few!) are from my Squier Jazzmaster with some grit and modulation from the Strymon Deco. This song came togther fairly quickly (about a week or so) and I'm quite pleased. Thankfully the lyrics didn't take to long to come either. Enjoy...

It's beginning to seem beyond a reasonable doubt,
There's nothing to hold that you can't live without,
Can't look towards a new tomorrow,
Araid of your own dark shadow,
Imprisoned in these porcelain walls
There's no one by your side

Making up lies simply to save face,
Leaving behind what you can't replace,
The deceit is all around you,
No moment to decide

It's all a game and you know for sure,
And you can't tell what is next in store,
Open up that door

You can't quite catch what he's all about
Often alone, you never figure it out
There's a feeling the earth is shaking,
Heavy bones are not for breaking,
And you know it's not a test,
When everyone has left

But it's all the same inside your head,
Maybe tomorrow they will all forget,
Lead them off towards the cliff,
And pacify the rest,

It's all a game and you know for sure,
And you can't tell what is next in store,
You've screwed it up like you've done before,
But I don't want to see anymore,
Open up that door

What an excellent song.
Guitar sounds brilliant, crystal clear
Nice basswork as well.
The vocals and backing vocals are spot on.
I always look forward to a Berry patch song and this didn't dissapoint.
Great stuff

Loved this right from those opening guitar chords. Excellent production and very nicely mixed/performed. I like that driving drum feel and great vocal work along with cool lyrics. Those guitars sound brill.

OK to cover but please let me know first.  Thanks!

Absolutely stunning. Love everything about it. You must have an incredible album brewing based on your recent offerings. Such beautiful guitar-based pop that ticks all the boxes of what I like. You really have found your own voice and style, and it's brilliant. I also love Danelectros (I  have a '67 hornet with a butter-knife trem) - they do a very distinctive, niche job. Loving the sound of the guitars on this.

A great sound with the Dano picking. It is so full and clear. The production builds up nicely without losing any clarity. Excellent vocals, words and the overall mix is perfect to my ears, well done!
