I got lost in E minor.
It is what it is.
Just like any other day
You do the things you gotta do
You say hello you say goodbye
You do the things you gotta do

Just like every other song
You sing the words you gotta sing
You do a chorus and a verse
And sing the words you gotta sing

Well let's just tear it all apart
Rip it up and start again
Try to do things differently
Rip it up and start again

Well let the words all tumble out
And let them fall where ere they fall
Who cares if they make any sense
Just let them fall where ere they fall

Well you know I really care
I try harder every time
I put pressure on myself
I try harder every time

I reach out though I might fall
I try to learn from my mistakes
And I criticise myself
I try to learn from my mistakes

Well let's just tear it all apart
Rip it up and start again
Try to do things differently
Rip it up and start again

Well let the words all tumble out
And let them fall where ere they fall
Who cares if they make any sense
Just let them fall where ere they fall
Any Other Day

Very appealing song......slow burn......beautiful dreamer in short pants.......a rainy day without an umbrella .......a puddle jumper with holes in his boots........picking wild flowers in a mountain meadow ....yup, I love this.....kinda reminds me of a song from the great Canadian band Sloan

Ok, this touches me on many levels. Its not the first time i notice james 'quiet' singing is the most dramatic and tense i've seen in a long time. Makes me wanna shout at last verse. Knocked out by this one

This is a great song James! I love the subtle slow burn to this track and the chord progressions and production is so dreamy! Reminds me a bit of the band Slowdive, especially the spacey guitar. Excellent lyrics as well!

Back for more...this is a real slow burn....I can't stay away.........out of the park ORH......you know what would have been fun......keep building it up.......as it goes on keep adding more...more guitar...more keys.....more drums........more vocals (backing vox and harder singing)......slowly build it up like the slow burn song that it is......until it turns into a wall of sound at the end......that is the way my imagination hears this monster song....well done......

I find a lot of your songs pretty deep experiences ORH. The connection between the words and the music is mesmerising. Sometimes just everyday moments you make so profound. This is really a beautiful song.
