I wasn't surprised to hear this news considering his age, but it still hurts to lose him. Burt was a musical giant of the 20th century. His music certainly had a large impact on popular culture in the 60s and 70s. And he had a good long run in both his music career and in life.

RIP, Burt Bacharach.
