Aw hell, it looks like he really has passed - there was some doubt about whether it was actually true a bit earlier today.

By and large, jazz has always been like the kind of a man you wouldn't want your daughter to associate with.

OK to cover but please let me know first.  Thanks!

I saw CSN about a decade ago, and the opening 3-4 songs were super rough. I don't know if they worked out the sound so they could hear each other better, or they just gave themselves a mental kick in the ass, but the following hour and a half was just magical. Truly a case where the sum is greater than the parts (at least vocally).

What a life he must have led.

I love his first solo album....If I Could Only Remember My Name.......those songs are embedded deep into my musical DNA.............hugely influential album that very few folks today know about......one of the greatest live in the studio jam albums ever made.........you hear the influence of that album in so many artists over the years....in fact Wilco just put out an album this year....Cruel Country....and a couple of the songs get into a live in the studio jam that has a similar feel to the Crosby album from so many years ago....it's such a magical album........RIP dude.........

I was reading about his musical history and the chronological order of the bands he was in. From folk to pop rock and finally CS&N. Quite a musical journey wrought with addiction and liver transplants. He was one of the best vocal harmonizers I've ever heard and a master at using acoustic guitar tunings. RIP David Crosby.
