Scrooge, bah humbug.... woke up in a mood yesterday... interesting looks around the house whilst singing this with headphones on while recording!  lol...

I get a little sick of so dang many pro's asking me for money!  So I have a new answer now... GET A JOB.  AND POY

Epiphone Nighthawk (Firehawk) one rhythm, one lead.  Used Boss ME-25 for various fun sounds.
delay on lead guitar provided off the Zoom L-20 during mix down.
Shecter bass through Boss ME-25,
crazy acoustic drum set.  MXL mic x 2 vocals.  Mixed on Zoom L-20.  I did a mix with everything but lead guitar and added that in on final mix.  Fixed up a bit on Audacity and mastered using the free plug in called Masterdesk.

Hey I get to comment first on this cool rocker! I like this Stephan with that soaring lead with great tone and panning. I like the sentiment in your words and the swagger in your vocals. Nicely done!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

For some reason i thought we'd be hearing something gentle from you next, but i guess we're already on Christmas spirits :D

That first line of lyrics is so great! Actually that whole thing is so deranged sounding that i can't stop laughing. Here's this guy with a heart of gold, yet he's a sailor too... Singing POY while people are wandering around.

I think this must be the most relaxed sounding song with lyrics like these. It doesn't sound like bent up anger, it sounds more like you've already started to let it fly...

Those backing vocs are smooth. A song that's probably dedicated to all of those who have graduated from the yellow stream academy.

This one goes to the playlist. Well done Mr. S!

This is killing me! I used to have nine lives and now i only have ten! (I was never that good at maths).

I'm playing acoustic guitar and trying to become Stephen. It ain't easy...

If you ever get back to the chitlin' circuit you MUST perform this live. It's bound to be a crowd pleaser.
A trendy cafe, or a juke joint. It'll go down like hot tamales!

Edit: After getting deep down into the song i must admit that i first only heard it on a surface level (and still liked it). It's way deeper.

Cool! Your leads express your dissatisfaction. Paints a vivid picture for sure. 8)

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

I worked on a site once down in London and there were signs everywhere saying no urinating on site.... A roofer working on the huge flat roof couldn't be arsed to go down the 5 flights of stars to the toilet so decided to go for a sneaky piss over the edge of the roof. While doing so he heard a lot of shouting coming from below .....he had just pissed all over the electricians having their breakfast below.....he was escorted off site and not seen again (True story) .......it's said he was singing this song as he was pissing 🤣

Stephen ,your style is your own.
As soon as I seen this title I didn't even need to look at who had posted it.
The guitar lead at the end has a cool vibe going on.
Nice one mate.

Another Great song Stephen. How you write them this quick I don't know, you're a great storyteller.
I agree with the story you're telling, too many people "choosing" not to get off their backsides and get a job etc. looking for handouts..
Very catchy chorus and some great guitars. ( as always)

This chorus will be a mantra till the conclusion of the holiday season. I love how unangry the delivery is.

"Piss, piss, piss on you." Freaking priceless.
