Balance of Moments (128) - Lurker & Blooby

A very lyric-driven tune save for a 7/8 bridge and an oddball outro. Musically, it strikes me as a bit of a meditation.

First mix. The loathing has begun...

Peace.

Balance of Her Moments

It started so suddenly it was hard to comprehend
Just as our life started, we were told that hers would end
The doctor spoke of maybes, but I wasn't really there
We walked across meadow; I kissed dewdrops from her hair

Now I watch as the bus goes by
Will I be on the next one will I take that ride
To anyplace far away from here
Another lonely traveler trying to disappear

When the realization hit it felt as if the Sun
Had vanished from my skies, I began to come undone
How can a body healthy and strong melt away so fast
I should have known happiness wasn't meant to last

Now I watch as the train rolls by
Will I be on the next one will I take that ride
To anyplace far away from here
Another lonely traveler trying to disappear

Through all the treatments I wandered in a fog
I knew she needed me but couldn't get past the shock
Her strength helped me overcome my fears
She said as she took my hand be with me while I'm here

Precious was her final gift
The balance of her moments
Every second did we sift
'Til darkness took the gnomon

Somewhere in that night she slipped away from me
With her went all my bonds     unwillingly I'm free

So I watch as the plane flies by
Will I be on the next one will I take that ride
To anyplace far away from here
Another lonely traveler trying to disappear

"First mix. The loathing has begun" Ha! It sounds just fine. Great lyrics. Clean and melodic vocals. Floaty guitars with lots of vibe. Cool sounding riffing / chord voicings.

There's a quite a visual feel to it all. Strong imaginery and the way you've arranged it puts the attention towards the vocals / storyline. Great stuff!

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

meditation?  more like medication.

I have grown to really appreciate your duo more and more... and you have some deep stuff, and interesting stuff... but this one is way beyond anything I have heard yet of yours lyrically...and I would say the music can match that... most people will never really get this song, how truly great it is... and yet so many live it every single day... for me that is major wow factor...
Lurker upped his game.... The Blooby upped the ante.  Now it's all in.  So good luck topping this one guys...
I must be fortunate, to hear such brilliant work, free and so few will ever hear it... its like a precious gem that is so precious it is hidden away, so priceless even the rich can't get to it...

I have been to my Mom's Father inlaw and a few friends funerals this year so the lyrics have really hit home with me along with the sublime playing well done to all
