Surge XT also has a fabulous open source community, and if you can code in C++ you can even add your own features.

It keeps growing more and more capable over time.  I recently pointed out Surge XT to a friend who is into Chorale Music (vocal choirs, polyphony) because Surge XT has a built in system for doing non-standard tunings, which is useful if you want your guide tones that are precisely on pitch for some non-typical tuning standard.

Anyways it's also an astoundingly deep and capable synth.
