Don't Want to Be in Love

I don't want to love you
I just want to hold you sometimes
If you say you need me then
I'm running for the sunshine
I just want occasional
Comfort in the night
Once in a while share a meal
That could be alright

I don't want to be in love
I just want something I can now and then grab hold of

I like spending time with you
It makes me feel good
As long as expectations stay
Simple like they should
But if you start talking about
There being something more
You'll never see a man heading
Faster for the door

I don't want to meet your folks
I just want to sow some oats
I don't want to start a home
I want to be free to roam

If you still want to hang out
I could stay the night
As long as you accept that
I'll be gone by dawn's first light

I don't want to be in love
I just want something I can now and then grab hold of

Bloody good song ..  :)
Really like the bass rhythm, guitars and drums, vocals are also really good ..
The song vibe reminds me of a band but can't reminder the band name for now.
Really good work..

sounds like a lot of dudes I know... I really dig the song.  The mix is so good...so clean and so much room between everything....massive job Blooby!!!!!

Lurker's vocals are even better than the usual greatness.... did you find new software?

I picture Blooby somewhere under some spanish moss with a computer screen on his lap mixing away...while John floats past the place where Blooby is sitting in a kayak, and waves, and says "how's it going Bruce?"

you can call me anything you like.  Just don't call me late for dinner

This is different for you guys but so cool! The clarity and the sparseness (without lacking) of the recording shows superior engineering, mix and production. Great guitar, bass, drums and the vocals are spot on and so smooth. Kudos to all involved!

What a cool song.  Instrumentation and vocals are superb and the production is sublime.

Very accomplished as usual.

Dig the trick ending! Very cool piece. The progression seems almost Zappa-esk to me? Really captured the vibe and feel on this. Love it! 8)
