Just going through the same old same old whilst listening to music at work.

The last band I saw before Covid struck was The Amazons at Manchester Academy - a new band to me, been going a few years, but had reached that stage where they gave a polished performance.

Squid are excellent... listening now... a bit like Talking Heads or even King Crimson

Depends on what you like really.

Not really a new band, but still up there as continually getting better and better. The fantastic "Dirty Loops". In most bands, there's normally one outstanding member, with Dirty Loops, I cannot decide. Jonah is a fantastic vocalists, and equally as good keyboard player. Aaron has to be one of the best drummers around at the moment, and Henrick is as good as it gets on the bass, I think he's up there with Victor Wooton. Check out their collab with Cory and the Wong Notes - breathtakingly good. Then there is Snarky puppy. Cory Wong has also lots of great tunes on YouTube - definitely worth the entrance money.

Indie band - Crystal Tides. They are up and coming and are getting lots of commercial traction.

NB We know the drummer, he's a friend of Mazz and Ash - and a really decent chap.

Yes pretty good, just giving them a listen. Always knew the name but never the music.
