Edit: Revised and expanded the song fragment posted in the 3rd post below.

I'm sometimes able to make up little song fragments I like.  But then every effort at expanding it sounds dumb.  So here's another song fragment ... if anyone knows what to do with this, or wants to collaborate, let me know. All I'm doing is playing a G chord... is this a chorus?  A verse?  Garbage?

Good start Like you I have many fragments just waiting to explode in something. The progression of the ear expects the next chord to be D. I will give you a shout if I can find time to expand this always like doing collabs

I managed to expand the song fragment a bit - got an idea for a lyric from the 1972 fest, but now I'm not sure where to go for now - are the first 2 lines part of a verse and the rest the "chorus"?

G (but transposed +3)
In the summer of '72
      C                                G
We didn't have much to do

G
There was no place left to go
          C                      D
So we listened to the radio...

G                                              D-C
Turn it, Turn it, Turn it up baby
G                                          D-C
I like, I like, I like that station
