That Mr Rottenborn (1968) was a somewhat short lived tv-series about a man who seemed like a good man, but turned out to be a kind of a devil in disguise. The tv-series had short stories about different people and their lives, and how Mr Rottenborn first helped them, but eventually made things worse.

The makers of the series made sure that there wouldn't be a season 2. The way they did it was to burn Mr Rottenborn at the end of season 1. The scenes with Mr Rottenborn "paying his dues" is reminiscent of the Wicker Man ending.

I didn't find a trailer for this, but there's a video that has the vinyl version playing, and also a re-mastered version taken from "The best of 60's forgotten tv-themes" CD collection that was sold on Blackpool market area before it was shutdown.

Lyrics:
Send me your money and i'll build a castle
You can dream about it and i'll make it mine
Send me your money and i can be your guide
If you'd any be wiser you'd do the same as i

CH:
Let's go to a bank
How much do you have?
It's already mine
Don't big man cry

Tell me of your wife what does she like
You can dream about her when i'll become her man
Send her to me and i make her mine
If you'd know any better, you'd run and hide

CH:
Let's go to a church
Did you bring the ring?
She's already mine
You could just die

Give me your daughters and i'll become their master
You can cry about it and i'll feed on your tears

Singing this felt like poop. I think something died inside. I don't know where this came from, but i did it anyway.

Great song and nice music, and seems like would be an Interesting tv series. Great vocals in that 60's style.
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.

Thanks for all the comments! Kenny, i took the name from that layer :D The working name for the song was For Every Sucker (There's a Punch), but it didn't sound like 60's series so i wanted something along the lines of "That Mr...".

I tried to remix the track and make the vocals less appalling. While mixing i felt like i had made huge changes and even more retro sound, but now that i compare the mixes it's hard to tell :)

Here's the final mix.

That was great. I get a somewhat unsettling feel from the track, but I guess that's kinda the intention. The creepiness in the vocal is great... ohhh yes definitely chills the blood. Atmospheric and very cool.
