I'm a little late to the game on this one but hopefully not too late! :) This one has a bit more of a "brickwalled" sound to this (I layered a lot of guitar tracks). Started this song using my Les Paul but the B string broke on me so most of the song is on the trusty ol' Sheraton. Recorded entirely using Garageband, didn't give me any trouble this time thankfully. Enjoy...

My soul is lifted,
Through the transfixtion I've seen the signs,
Passing the doorways into the mind,
Watching the races,
Writing out phrases I can't explain,
I'm close behind but I can't get a name,

Or a face drift awhile at such a pace,
I could sink below for a thousand years,
You can see the walls start to disappear

Slip inside into the turpentine,
Caught in a daze blown to the sky

Over the meantime,
Caught in the sidelines of a new age,
Turn back the dial and watch it all fade,
Look for tomorrow,
Smash through the windows pain isn't real,
Snuffing the blindness wanting to feel,

What is right in a sea of black and white,
And I get so high when I see the sun,
And no I can't shake what has just begun

Slip inside into the turpentine,
Caught in a daze blown to the sky

Feeling fine

I love this - getting a bit of the late 1980's/early 90's "Madchester" scene !

It's like psychedelic grunge.....and the lyrics...spectacular...like beat poetry.....and the music...driving....grooving....moving.....it's bloody marvellous

Love that wall of sound with those guitars. Great production and excellent lyrics as your Dad says reminiscent of early beat poetry.

Greeny

This is what would happen if Liam left Oasis and Tim Burgess from the Charlatans took over vocal duties. It's a real barnstormer of a track - huge and tuneful. That middle breakdown is superb, and I love that reverse/feedback sounding solo on the extended ending. Special stuff!

TPB

Huge track and production love the slowed down break adds to the tension of the song smoking guitars

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Wow!  Takes me back to at least '67.  Brilliant production.  Very enjoyable.

By and large, jazz has always been like the kind of a man you wouldn't want your daughter to associate with.
