Headphones: Can they be studio monitors AND noise cancelling?

this guy put the needed eq for more than 2500 (!!!!!) different headphones.

What does one do with this info?

Would I mix my music wearing my favorite headphones, and then tweak the EQ before the final mixdown to compensate for the characteristics of my favorite headphones?

Ted, according to other comments about this page, many use the right eq preset (depending on the model you own) on a VST equalizer as LAST PLUGIN just before the final mix, in order to have the most "flat" possible sound.

May not be worth mentioning but I have some surplus Sennheiser wireless headphones (TR-120) that don't use bluetooth but are old-school frequency transmission type I use for watching videos on the computer etc. They are the "hiss, hiss" type if not dialed in or are moving around too much. Sound quality is mostly good but bass is somewhat pronounced.

Reason I'm even mentioning these is due to an undocumented "feature" they have that drives me crazy you may run into even on some high-end "active" headphones. Don't get any headphones for mixing that has built-in volume leveling. The problem should be obvious but maybe it's only for headphones that are wireless and they are doing it the try to save battery life?
