I bought a pedal called a Katzenkonig that is a blend of a Tonebender MK II and a Rat. When I plugged it in, I was expecting Blue Cheer, but I got late 80's spandex instead. Cheesy chorused tones were courtesy of an old rackmount SGX-2000.

John insisted on spiking his hair up and singing next to a somewhat arbitrary flaming 55 gallon drum in an alleyway. Who am I to question his art?

Can't Stay Away

She's not the kind
To change her mind
She'll make me think her idea
Was mine all the time

She won't get rough
When she's had enough
She'll move just out of reach
Then laugh when I try to touch

Friends say she's not right for me
But I can't stay away
I know she's no angel
But God knows I'm no saint

She has a way
to make me want to stay
Well, I know if I don't go
I'm gonna pay

She makes me feel
Like nothing's real
The entire universe
Is pressed beneath her heel

Friends say she's not right for me
But I can't stay away
I know she's no angel
But God knows I'm no saint

She's like a spider and I'm a fly
Wrapped in her silk while she bides her time
Any move I make swings me side to side
Knowing any moment she could drink me dry

Friends say she's not right for me
But I can't stay away
I know she's no angel
But God knows I'm no saint

I'm no saint
I'm no saint
She may not be an angel
But I'm not a saint
And I'm gonna pay
Gonna pay
Gonna pay
Gonna pay
Gonna pay

Fantastic stadium rock and so professionally produced. Some great instrumentation and the vocals are stellar. Excellent work, guys.

I just like it...plain and simple...and I mean really really really like it... that bass... that clean chorused picked guitar and then the fuzzy duck rhythm guitar... the vocals are really super and the lyrics too...
lead is really good but for me I didn't really need it...the other stuff is just that good.

   All that I need
Is just a piece of paper
To say a few lines
Make up my mind
So she can read it later
When I'm gone

Great song , I really liked it .. really liked the fell of it ..
I find it had an 80's Hair/Glam Metal fell to it, like the group Ratt ..
I've listened to it a couple of times already .. Rock on .. ;D

the lead reminds me of the great Eric Johnson... I have heard this before in your playing... ya gotta be danm good to pull that off!  He's the one all the musicians showed up to watch when he came to town.

Sorry, Bruce, but I would like suggestions on a better title. My students had a few.

I really like this - maybe because I still have a lot of hair and never needed a perm.  I have done lots of stadium gigs in my time - sadly exclusively in my bedroom.

Fine guitar playing and the vocal is fabulous.   Did you plug the rack mount chorus in line into the interface input or did you use the Pipeline facility in Studio One?
