Upgrading SSD - wish me luck

I scored ~300 GB of new IK multimedia software (plugins) so now I have to upgrade my hard drive from 500 GB to a 1TB one.  Wish me luck.  After this, I may be recording using a Tascam 4-track cassette tape recorder

Is your computer a laptop or a tower? Mine was a tower so I used a spare bay to add an additional ssd. I also have all my sample libraries on an external Samsung SSD connected by USB 3. It works great.  The only issue is that I have almost filled them up too!

I recently tried to fire up my old porta one I bought in 1986. But it auto stops after about 2 seconds. I've contacted teac about repairing it but no response yet. I did a ton on that thing back in the day

The tascam isn't a bad option. I did my first multitrack recordings on one.  Fun to put the cassette in the wrong way ...... I still have one ... both a cassette with backwards tracks and a tascam. Only one of them still functioning though
