A new one...

Spent ages deciding what to do do in the middle section. Was gonna put a guitar solo in after the bridge part but it felt like I was doing it for the sake of it so left it with  no guitar solo... haha... wow that was hard for me!  ;D

Edit: 22/10/21... lowered bass a little

How the Mighty Have Fallen

Like every ship that sails
Across the ocean
There will come a time when all your
Sailing days are over

Yeah, don't deceive yourself
Yeah, Your time will come

Like every city reaches
Reaches up to the sky
There will come a time that you find
That you're reaching too high

Yeah yeah yeah don't deceive yourself
Yeah yeah yeah, Your time will come

Yeah yeah yeah, look how the mighty have fallen
Yeah yeah yeah, look how the mighty have fallen
Yeah yeah yeah, look how the mighty have fallen

---------------

Even the sun when it shines it will burn out
Without leaving a trace, just fade away
You'll see everything you've done means nothing
You'll see you're just killing time on the way

---------------

Like every king will some day
Lose a grip on his crown
You will find out for yourself well
That it's a long way down

Yeah yeah yeah don't deceive yourself
Yeah yeah yeah, Your time will come

Yeah yeah yeah, look how the mighty have fallen
Yeah yeah yeah, look how the mighty have fallen
Yeah yeah yeah, look how the mighty have fallen

etc...

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Hook

You've been productive lately brother and this is another gem of a song. Kinda has a REM vibe to me, great lyrics. I dig!
Rock on!

Brilliant song mike, I get a " nirvana" vibe from this a bit. The jangly guitar is great..love the drums too.
Really good vocals and lyrics. Catchy melodies and chorus. It sounds just fine without the lead solo too. ????
