Here's a demo of a song that's been teasing me for a while. This was originally an acoustic driven country song, but i'm not sure if it qualifies as country anymore? :)

"
YOU'RE GONNA LOVE YOURSELF

If yesterday was so bad
Why are we still fighting tonight?
If It's something that's broken
I'm sure we'll fix it allright

It's hard to take sides
When we are both always the same
You can leave the children
But will they ever leave your mind?

CH:
You're gonna love yourself for leaving me when the morning lights the sky
You're gonna love yourself for leaving me... without a fight

It's hard to be hardgrown
When we are both always the same
Being part of each others life
We made it high thru and hell

I've tried to tell you
That it's right to be wrong
You can have your reasons
You don't have to be alone

CH:
You're gonna love yourself for leaving me when the morning lights the sky
You're gonna love yourself for leaving... without a fight
"

Some parts of the lyrics are troublesome... There are some small melodies missing. I'm hearing pedal steels, but i guess those can be faked with electric guitar. Also all of the backing vocals are missing. The vocal track is rough, but i doubt i can do much better. Everything was recorded with Micro BR and then mixed in Reaper. The piano is Yamaha CP (The hidden piano sound).

The bit that says you can leave the children kept skipping and repeating, don't know if it's the player.its at the end.

You are going to be a great addition to the site...

contagious beat and drive to the song... It has that late 70's rock beat like Bob Seger or Fleetwood Mac and a few others...really big... an interesting yet simple progression which makes it easy to focus on the lyrics...

song got over quick...

Nicely constructed song. Sounds great even if in,y a demo. Musics all good, like the piano, good vocals and catchy melodies.

Thanks for listening.

Great song - the piano and your vocal really drive it along.

And it sounds like a complete song to my ears. There's something to be said for spareness, and just getting the feeling right - and this does that.

Well done!
