Finally got another original out there. This one I started in April as an idea and and I worked on it a little bit for a couple months from there. My attempt at the more story driven narrative lyrically. Hope you enjoy.

Edward Locke
Wakes from bench outside the parlour shop
He shelters from raindrops in the afternoon
Under the station he stays
Watching all he sees her slip past through air

Oh she doesn't know he's there,
She doesn't know he's there,

Anne Marie
Lives on the hillside by the bakery
Glides through the side streets as a lonely cloud
Gotta keep going each day
And she can't hear the sound,
Why would she even care

But she doesn't know he's there
She doesn't know he's there
Oh she doesn't know he's there
She doesn't know he's there

Love can be a straight line
You may find it in your own time
Don't you know that there's no give and take
To be alone sincere
But she doesn't he's here

Find your ground in and around through here

But she doesn't know he's here
She doesn't know he's here
Oh she doesn't know he's here
She doesn't know he's here

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

Has that lovely, whimsical British psych vibe from the late 60's - Keith West etc. Shit - that chord change at 1:50 blew my mind. I love the storytelling of the lyric, and your production / arrangement is outstanding. All the ingredients are so beautifully done. What a seriously talented fellow you are.

DarrenG / The Devil's Toupee

What a great song, giving me some Beatles/ Paul McCartney vibes from the style. The music is fantastic mate. That mellotron sounds fab. Lovely piano, strings, and guitars. Brilliant lyrics, love the story. And great vocals. What more could you ask in a song. Love it.

I love this Keith, it's right up my street. I read the lyrics first and they reminded me of "Cinema Show" by Genesis but the music has that Beatles-y/psychedelic feel to it. It's almost orchestral in its arrangement and it sounds great. There's some lovely light and shade in this and some wonderful composition, I love the arpeggios under the "she doesn't know he's there/here" section. The vocals sound fab and the overall mix is fantastic considering there is so much going on. I loved the ending as well.

A really great track, I loved it from start to finish.

Great songwriting Keith. Reminds me a bit of a Gilbert O'Sullivan tune. The chord changes are great too.
