A bit of comedic relief. Who knows what teenagers get up to when their parents go away?

Before anyone asks this story is NOT autobiographical - honestly.

I remember my first day at school
And early friends who would disappear
I remember my first BB gun
I remember my first beer
All these things I will remember
Until the day I'm dead
But most of all I'll remember that day
When you and I made love in your parent's bed.

That weekend your parents went away
For a short summer vacation
Both of us just curious
Full of sexual frustration
I recall you talking dirty
I still remember the things you said
As you and I breathless with guilt
Making love in your parent's bed.

Now I can't help but laugh to myself
To see you worship at the alter of fashion
You weren't so fussy about wearing clothes
On that crazy afternoon of passion
But it's like the sword of Damocles
Hanging there over my head
As I recall someone as a MILF
Instead of you in your parent's bed!

The lyrics are great fun but it was the arrangement that wowed me. I really liked the separation between the percussion and the vibes/keys/whatever they are, and it's a really unique sound you created here. Some lovely little guitar runs, and the guitar work in the middle from about 1:30 is superb. A rather cheeky twist at the end of the tale as well, a really clever song. Very well done indeed!

Yeah, musically I'm feeling a little bit of lyrical style influence from Paul Simon.  Who is one of my favorite songwriters.

Outstanding guitar and percussion. Absolutely delicious. I read the lyric first and thought it was going to be a comedy-style song, but it's not. It's serious, seriously-good musicianship and production. Those piano breaks are sublime. In fact the whole thing is sublime. Wow! And I was so busy being amazed by the production and music that the words kind of passed me by on first listen.

Cracking song ray. Great playing and vocals as ever and yes a definite hint of Paul Simon influence which is all to the good of course.  A superbly well-crafted song through and through. Nice one!
