If you ever wonder what happened to the people in old pics
Tim

I walked into the house  and saw the picture on the wall
It was old and tattered and the corners were torn
I picked it up noticed the writing on the back
Said Happy birthday my love I am glad you are back
Next line said I love you love till I die
But she left twenty years ago so we know that is a lie
Chorus
Time steal away like a thief in the night
Time goes by in a blink of a eye
Time goes, goes rolling by

Way across town there is a old picture in a drawer
It is a picture of the man she left but she really adored
She left twenty years ago and still feels bad
She was just a young girl didn't know what she had
Just thought about the rosy things and nothing of the bad
She regrets her decisions now and misses the love she had

Chorus

He tried to get over her and get her out of his mind
And maybe that the reason why he is drinking every night
though he been with many nothing can compare
to the wild love they had and everything they shared
so he will miss her everyday can't get her off his mind
he is going to miss her until the day he dies
Chorus
Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

hardlock

Good one! I can really relate to the story and the chorus harmonies are very nice as well.

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

The synth gives this a very full and fore longing sound and feel Tim. A good lyric/story, vocals and I love those chorus harmonies!
The very solid rhythm guitar strum glues it all together perfectly.

A lovely song, Tim. Got a Springsteen feel to it and a great emotive vocal performance. Those underlying string sounds create a perfect bed for the song and the lyrics are beautiful.

Great song idea. Loved the lyrics...wistful, lamenting, introspective. Solid backer for your well done vocals, especially impressive on the choruses. I was waiting for a bit of harp soloing :-))  Nice tune Tim...enjoyed the listen...a solid, well done song. "Time goes by in the blink of an eye"...so so very true man.

What a great song, it feels like it's from the late 60's, there's more than a bit of Bob Seger in this to my mind.

Very well done.
