Sad to see another musician fall victim to COVID. Charley Pride was a bit of a legend in Country music circles in Ireland, in large part down to the fact that he wasn't afraid to gig in Belfast during the peak of the Troubles in the seventies, when almost no groups or artists would play there.

Even a sheltered little Canadian lad like me knew that Charlie Pride was something special.

He had a pretty good following up here in the frozen northlands.
