I've just finished reading an autobiography on Mike Oldfield.  He talked about using repeating loops in some of his music.  So I thought I'd have a go at using a three chord repeating loop comprised of 808 Drum Kit, Solo Base and Phase Clean guitar effects.  Then overlaying with a Super Clean guitar solo.  Needed to use Audacity to fade in and out to limit the size of the track, or else it would have gone on forever.  Sounds pleasing to the ear.

I called it Blue and Green after the Blue and Green Lakes of my home town.

I truly enjoyed this.

This is similar in nature to what I tend to do most of the time (although this strikes me as much more tasteful).

While it is simple harmonically, it is a very enjoyable listen, and you have some nice, melodic hooks with that clean guitar.

Nicely played.

I just listened again and I love the hooky line at about :58.

I get the feel of Knopfler from the Dire Straights days - this is a great sound.

Very clean and up front sound, too!!

Greeny

Subtle, tasteful, atmospheric and rather beautiful. It would make a great song with some vocals shimmering over the top! Great work in it's own right though.
