What's better than free music software right?

16 PADS FOR TRIGGERING DRUM SAMPLESAND LOOPS
PIANO ROLL TO RECORD MIDI NOTES
SAMPLE EDITOR TO CHOP & EDIT
BROWSER TO SEARCH & SELECT SOUNDS
You can even record instruments or vocals with 2 stereo audio tracks to add live elements to your music.

The benefit to the above free app is that what it ain't got, you ain't got to learn. If PC music has been TOO HARD for you, try this!

It doesn't seem to be a full DAW and isn't as powerful as Garage Band (mac, free) or Cakewalk by Bandlab (windows, free), but it's pretty amazing and it's free.

2 gigabytes of free music content (including a lot of loops and drum samples) is nothing to sniff at. Grab it.

I think this might be just the right thing for your little munchkins to get started with. If you're on a Mac, just get your kids going on Garage Band, it's the business.  But grab this too. And if you're on Windows, grab this, and Cakewalk by Bandlab, and you'll have a monster amount of fun.
