"In Search of the Elusive Perfect Take"-Original

Top class musicianship from you as always. I can certainly relate to searching for the final take, one where the hairs on the back of the neck stand at 90 degrees and the warm feeling of euphoria is nearly overwhelming. I'm still looking but this sounds like you're there. Great post.  Willie

I can relate to this too. I actually get a bit nervous when hitting the record button as I record which nine times out of ten means I start making more mistakes than I would if I was just practicing for fun. Weird. But great bit of music John. A little proggy but very tuneful as well... a great combo.

Mike and Willie-Thanks so much.  Mike, you hit the nail on the head with the comment on rehearsal takes vs actual laying the track down.  I suffer from that too.  Psychological, I guess.  Weird.  "Record Button Paranoia".  ;)
