His music is really worth listening to. Another sad loss.

The cover band I played with in the 70's always packed the dance floor when we played The Spencer Davis Group's song, Gimme Some Lovin'. R.I.P. Spencer Davis.......

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

I remember well the first time I heard "Keep on running" in 1965,...we were at that time with my band (the red roosters) in the car on the way back from a nightclub performance and we thought it was absolutely great the sound of the guitar (a telecaster in saturated mode), the bass line, the vocals!
we tried the very next day to take it up again in rehearsal.
ah ah ah good memory

but RIP Spencer Davis

Quote from: my idol is Jahia on October 21, 2020, 01:12:24 AM...and he had a voice like a young Ray Charles

The singer/piano player in that "Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out" video is Stevie Winwood.

Spencer Davis sings this one and plays acoustic 12-string:

Stevie Winwood plays the wireless Stratocaster. Who knew that wireless guitar systems existed in 1966?  ;) ::)

By and large, jazz has always been like the kind of a man you wouldn't want your daughter to associate with.
