Hi everyone this is my first post and my first recording on my micro br.
the playing is not the best as it was recorded in a rush.
the vocals are by a friend of mine.
please let me know what you all think and I would appreciate any comments on how to improve the track.

Greeny

This sounds like a professional band coming on here undercover for a laugh! This is some first post. A bit mind-blowing really.

The only thing I wasn't sure about was the 'screaming' guitars that came in. They jarred a little, but maybe that's just me. Overall though, this song definitely has the WOW factor!

p.s. is this a cover?

I'd hate to think what you would produce if not in a rush , this is a great first post , vox excellent , all round good sound , i liked the guitar's a lot , as greeny said very professional , well done.

Bro

Wow the vox really amazed me!

Great job guys!! :D
If you loose track over a chord progression, play as fast as you possibly can. Nobody will know. Thats how they invented bebop.

bigdavie1979

thanks for the great comments guys,
The song is called Caledonia, it's a cover of a song by Dougie MacLean.
The vocals and lead guitar are by a friend of mine called Jamie Norwood.
We're not a pro band unfortunately, but we do play in a  small Glasgow based blues rock band together.

I know what Greeny means about the lead guitar part, I was having some trouble with the levels.
All this recording stuff is new to me.

I'm gonna re-record the acoustic guitar parts and mess about with the levels a wee bit. I'll post the finished version soon.
