(Remastered 22/10/2021)

Here's the very latest from the broom-cupboard.

I wrote it one dark night over 23 years ago.

All I Have To Do
Words & Music AndyR
Recorded on a BR1600
--------------------------------

There isn't much time to get this out
You won't hear me if I have to shout
I have to say there is no doubt
About what I have to do

I might not like all that you say
'Cause you might change it every other day
I can't go on if there's no other way

All I have to do
Is trust you
All I have to do
Is trust you

If I knew how to pray
I might know now what to say
The smoothest thing I ever had
Is taken away

I might be yours but who can tell
Stand up straight but feel unwell
Your love simply puts me back in hell

But all I have to do
Is trust you
All I have to do
Is trust you

Help me to believe
I might trust you

Really nice work Andy. I really like the non-obvious chord changes, there's some very clever stuff going on there that keeps the song really interesting. The production is fantastic, crisp, clear and punchy and the vocals are fab. I would say that you must have smoked a lot of cigarettes to achieve this vocal performance, but I know you gave up, so the vocals are even more impressive..... I really liked the guitars in the coda, again a nice idea not to have a big solo somewhere but instead create a new melodic feel at the end of the song.

Great work all round, really enjoyed this. As always.

Top fucking quality. Everything is so crisp and tasty. Love that angry little 'fuck you' at the end followed by the beautiful Thin Lizzy guitar harmonies. What else you got in that cupboard?

Bloody fantastic! Not just the song, the production also is really awesome, kinda Elvis Costello's album my aim is true, that's to say ... bloody fantastic (ok, at times like this I realize how poor my english is lol)
