So I inherited a rather extensive collection of 78s (old vinyl/shellac's from 1910s-50s) from my father when he passed. I bought a new record player, a Victrola, 7 in 1 kinda thing that plays records (45s,33s & 78s not many turntables play 78s anymore) , tapes, Cds, radio & blue tooth. The kicker for me was that it has a usb hookup to convert from vinyl to mp3 with audacity. Figured out hoe to do it today and converted a few of my favorite records. Some of these are over 100 years old. Vinyl is truly my current crack and it's killing me to not be able to hit the used record shops in the area but going through these old gems is super fun.
This is in honor of our current BluesFest2 and is a Shellac from 1946 by Jazz Gillum...here's "Reckless Rider Blues"
