Excellent! I know folks in the Alfa Romeo community that have done this type of thing, and yes, the Alfa did get there and back in one piece! Best of luck doing this in a Citroen

We made it all the way to Pompei, via Cornwall, Brittany, Le Mans, Paris, Geneva, St Bernard's Pass, Florence, Pisa, Porto S. Stefano, Tuscany, Rome, Vesuvius, Naples and then on to somewhere near Sorrento.



2250 miles (they're the 1760 yard miles), 120 litres of diesel, broken suspension, knackered turbo, wobbly steering and a tour of the worlds most run-down campsites.

It was hard work, but good fun.

If I never ever again drive in Naples, it will be too soon.

I liked Herculaneum, fascinating place to visit.
