RIP Roland Dyens
ROLAND DYENS, a huge guitarist, charismatic musician, renowned pedagogue, his death arouses a great emotion in guitar lovers all over the world. I saw him on stage a few years ago in Lyon: an impressive virtuosity
open to all scholarly but also popular music, he had made two guitar adaptation records of absolutely brilliant French songs, here is for example an adaptation of "la foule" (angel Cabral, sung by Edith Piaf):

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

How fortunate that you were able to see him live. He has a particularly beautiful tone, and his playing has quite the deft touch. I'm a bit saddened that it took his death to make me aware of him.
