"Mon amant de Saint-Jean" is a very famous French song from 1942 that was a huge success. A realistic song recounting a young girl's love without a future for a seducer, the lyrics are by Léon Agel and the music of Émile Carrara on a waltz musette rhythm.
The song was performed by Lucienne Delyle, whose first great success, and then covered by many singers (Edith Piaf, Bourvil and more recently, Patrick Bruel and Zaz)
