it seems there are at least two guys on SC who like bossa (more than two, I hope)

This cover is a nod to the friend Alfredo who made us a wonderful version of O que Séra

this song Samba em Preludio is a song composed in 1962 by the Brazilian guitarist Baden Powell and the composer Vinicius de Moraes and  covered by many singers (notably Esperanza Spalding)

..very interesting harmonic analysis of this piece, here

QuoteNow, since of course I cannot sing in Portuguese, I whisper (...more than sing... :(
........
Not having a version with French (or English) lyrics, I decided to "whisper" it in Portuguese (phonetics)... I hope Vinicius de Moraes doesn't turn around in his grave. ;D

PS I'm not too satisfied with the counter-singing at Melodica, ...I'll do it again

It's very beautiful.
I think you can be satisfied with the melodica...

JP, this one is very, very good.
About the counter-singing, if you plan to re-make it, it's OK, but probably you should pay a little more attention to the time of "getting in". Oh, and I would also separate main vocals and counter-singing more on the L/R pan

Jean Pierre

thank you Jean Paul
thank you Alfredo...it's interesting to have critical technical opinions

it's true that we need a little more pan R/L on the voices by counterpointing

for the melodica I just put like that "au débotté"  (what is the translation in english? diproll ups ?)  some notes from the Bm scale to see what it felt like, but I think I do it better

Rendezvous les aficionados de la bossa ..à la prochaine bossa :)

thank you Kari
as Alfredo advises, tomorrow I'll do the mixing again with an R/L balance of voices while counterbalancing and I'll take the opportunity to do the melodica line a little better
I'm also going to put the bossa chord guitar a little louder in the mix....

Very pastoral. Beautiful.

I started listening to Jobin this last year or two, but I'm still a dilettante.

thank you Blooby

new mixing after consultation with the good doctor Alfredo

as you recommend Alfredo, I did the mixing again with some corrections on the Melodica, raised the volume of the guitar and did the Pan of the two voices in counterpoint..................... it seems to me that it is better
I love this counterpoint singing line with two different melodic lines it's very nice (...thank you Mr Bach...and thank you Mr Baden Powell , great guitaris twho has combined samba, jazz and baroque music )
