Well ... I also like bossa, rhythms and chords of Brazilian music

Madureira Street

... this song is not Brazilian although we clearly feel the influence

She is from a French singer Nino Ferrer
Two days of his 64 years, very affected by the recent death of his mother He committed suicide with a shotgun in a wheat field  :'(. Author-interpreter, whose real name was Agostino Ferrari, was born in Genoa to an Italian father and a French mother.
He was the author of many successes in France in the years70-80

It's a beautiful song ... La Rua Madureira, perhaps Nino Ferrer's little-known masterpiece, the heart-rending emotional story of a love met in Paris, who takes a plane to Rio, plane which never happened ... (see lyrics and translation into attachments)

The music, composed by Daniel Beretta, on the base, it seems to me, a chromatic descent already experienced by the Brazilian tube 'Corcovado'.

- 1 -
Ton nom mal écrit parmi tant d'autres noms inconnus
Sur la première page d'un journal brésilien
J'essayais de lire. mais je n'y comprenais rien

English translation

 1 -
I will never forget Rio Bay
The color of the sky the name of Corcovado
Rua Madureira, the street that you lived
I will not forget yet I have never been there
- 2 -
I will never forget this day of July
Where I knew you, where we had to separate
For so little time we walked in the rain
I was talking about love, you were talking about your country
- 3 -
I will not forget the sweetness of your body
In the taxi that took us to the airport
You turned to smile before going up
In a caravel that never arrived
(improvisation)
- 4 -
I will never forget the day I read
Your name badly written among so many other unknown names
On the front page of a Brazilian newspaper
I tried to read. but I did not understand anything

In attachement lyrics chord and technical note

thank for listening and comments

Of course I know very well Nino Ferrer (La Pelle Nera, Donna Rosa...), but this song is absolutely unknown to me, so thank you.

Very nice and relaxed, a pleasure to listen to...

Remixed this morning with guitar a little more forward.  In fact the interest of this type of song (bossa) is the rhythm and chords of the guitar, right?

Great Bossa nova feel to rhis. I'm stuck in stand still traffic and this is keeping me cool. Could have been longer
