I watched and listened to a lot of Bluesmen last night and came to the conclusion I am trying to make my playing "clean and precise" and it occurred to me I was missing a trick by not being adventurous enough........
I started this morning wondering if my Blues Mojo was still working..... ::)
So I thought I'd try some double stops combined with single note licks....
I was rooting round for a suitable backer and found this and for some reason the driving beat made me think of a freight train rumbling thro the plains of the USA....

So here we have "Freightliner Blues"...... 8)

BTW its 5 mins long and felt like it was 30 seconds cos I was enjoying myself so much............ :D

Excellent stuff 48! This train grooves along the track very nicely. Brilliant pic too - it takes me back to the days when I travelled all over the states, and a 45 day Amtrak pass (unlimited travel!) was $250.

Anyway - I've just sent you a little addition to the track (by email) that I hope you'll like  :D

And I can hear some harmonica going down a storm on this!

p.s. Your blues Mojo is definitely working!

Bro

Yup, you've got your mojo working real nice on this one!

Great job, i never get tiered of doublestops!

Great job 48!! :D
If you loose track over a chord progression, play as fast as you possibly can. Nobody will know. Thats how they invented bebop.

Ferryman

Wow, mojo aplenty! This is great Mike, really strong blues. Great expressive playing and a really smooooth sound. Great blues!

Cheers,

Nigel

Cool blues 48 - its got this live-energy-feel to it!  Luv the various blues licks & train sounds!  The picture looks like the train to Flagstaff, Arizona.

Just wanted to say that your bluesy guitar work has inspired me to do a little blues playing myself - nowhere as smooth as yours, but it's fun!

Yes sir that is great.  I feel like going and plugging in the Sheraton and jamming along with this, yes, that is what I am going to do, download time.  Maybe blow some harp.  Thanks Mike, you have put me in the blues mood with this one.
