I have the guts of a song here. My thinking was if anyone wanted to add to this either vocals or lead guitar or both or even keyboards it could be an entry to band fest. And in return if the person had a tune that I could help with then I would return the favour. Similar to Nick I am not sure how to initiate an online band maybe this is of interest to someone out there!!

Anyway I hope someone would like to add to this, some guitar riffage or vocals, maybe piano or even live drums and maybe it could trigger a band for the fest??

I will post 2 versions first has 2 guitar tracks and gives a better feel for the track but the second will have one guitar track removed to allow for anyone to stick down their guitar part or keyboard part. Vocals very welcome too!

If anyone has a go... the guitar is played with a capo at the 3rd fret.

Made it to 1:37. Had to download it.

Love the poppiness of it. That I > IV > I progression is super infectious. And what a corker of a solo (love the intro). How did you get that tone? It sounds like a clean amp pushed hard into compression.

I do hope somebody drops some lyrics/vocals in it. I would, but then the birds in neighborhood would fly away and never return.

So loving the solo Mach!! It has a perfect little complete melody all of its own, like a small song within a song. Love it!

Anybody that wants to add vocals please feel free...

I even have some lyrics written up see below...

If nobody has a go say within a week or so I think i will plonk some down myself, but a better singer would be a much better idea  ;D

Anyway... some rough lyrics I did... not great so if anyone fancies it feel free to change them...

These times are changing
And I don't understand
What's going on no more
All around me
People say they know
But I don't think they do

You laugh when I say things were better
Back in the olden days
You say that it was just the same
Just like it is today

But I don't care who's right or wrong
It don't matter anyway
It won't matter when were gone
So we just gotta live
For today

We got to learn to
Live together
It's really not that hard
Even though we
All think different
We gotta let it go

You laugh when I say things were better
Back in the olden days
You say that it was just the same
Just like it is today

There's no use in fighting because
We can't change anything
No one really knows the answer
So we just gotta live
For today

Blooby, I had the LP set to the neck pup and ran it into the interface through Guitar Rig.
GR settings> (PRE) Fast Comp (med attack)> AC Box amp sim (gain up to 7 with treble boost & slight high pass filter)>
control room mix (4x12 Rammfire cab, cond. mic 149, cap edge offset on speaker cone sim)> (POST) Little Reflektor
reverb (only 7% wet).

There are so many combos you can do with Guitar Rig.
