Smooth like the way that you
walk with your head held
high like that place between Earth and
space that's available if you need
a place that will always be your home

Clear like the water that fills my
glass that shatters upon hearing the
news pulls you in while pushing you
apart from the truth that pulls you home

Fake like the image of our
Future that never learns from its
Past the point that you throw the towel
In through the side of the outside that surrounds the center of home

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back

Inspired! Being often guilty of never using one chord where I can fit five, I'm amazed at how this works so well! Genius!

Yep, you get a lot of mileage out of that one chord (a C major chord, isn't it?) - loved all the little lead bits that are playing around the chord. And there's a bell-like quality to your uke(s) - sounds fab.

This is going to be an interesting festival.
As usual you did a wonderful job Hook, I wonder if you were just holding yourself back from changing chords?!  :D
It's a tough one , but you pulled it off nicely.

Knowing him, yes... :)

Really loving this tune, I could picture it opening credits in a cool movie. In Royal Tenenbaums or something like that. You never cease to amaze me, so talented!

As always great playing but what will carry a one chord song on and on are great lyrics used as that secret weapon that dances around the tune, and you've got that.
Well done.

I was wondering about this Fest, not that easy I thought,
Then you get the ball rolling Hook,
Great number to start with, so well played and sung, as always.
Well done,

Alex

Great tune - an interesting challenge to keep the listener engaged without a chord change - you do that in spades brother. Lovely track.
