Hi all, I was browsing some old posts the other day and came across this. It was in desperate need of an update so this is the result. Hope you enjoy.

I   I was working as a DJ in a second rate club on main street
Never expecting to see anyone I knew there
And although she'd changed, she'd gotten older
The beauty of her face still shone there.

2   It took me back too many years,
    When I was seventeen
Just a boy still growing up,
     Naive and very green

Chorus

And I'm thinking  If I'd been older
Would she have fallen like I did
But she just needed some other plaything
To throw away when she'd done with it.

3  Well she danced away the night with all the others
They may have been just friends or even lovers
She moved with a style and grace That only I remember
   1962 the 13th of September

Regards Willie

You have an instantly recognisable style, Willie. Somewhere between The Eagles, Tom Petty and Squeeze. This is a gorgeous song & you've done a sterling job with it. I'm jealous of anyone who can write lyrics like you. Bravo!
