I've been working on this one the last 4 days maybe. I used the strat into the BR80. Then I did 2 animoog tracks & 2 u-bass tracks. I recorded the U-bass (Monday) in the waiting room while my little ones were in occupational therapy (organized play that stimulates the brain causing both development and regression, crazy stuff) and my 13 year old did school work spread out on the floor... Then yesterday I put the vocals down & the lead Uke part which was the Alveration Uke into the BR80.
1 electric guitar (stereo)
2 Animoog app (both stereo)
1 Bass (mono)
1 lead vocal (stereo)
1 distorted/flanger vocal (stereo)
1 lead/solo distorted Uke
Disbelief
written & performed by Hook
I'm living with sorrow denial and pain
wrapped within guilt and the burden of shame
Though logic says it's not I feel my blood is chilled
Decisions once thought guided are now just plain free will

Responsible am i
my actions and my cries
Of anger and fear
Disbelief that this is real

I'm spinning in a funnel of emotion
Swirling around my sense of self

Good song, reminds me a bit of 54 40. I like the sounds and effects too, very cool.

I thought we were destined for bagpipes for a split second there, right near the start. Now I can't decide whether I'm disappointed or not.

Parts of this remind me of John Martyn. Nice noodling in the background, particularly. And the recording is sweet: clear and loud but no harshness.

I confess I had to look up u-bass, and then found that I'd once owned one but didn't know that was what it was called.
Dueling BR1600s. Beats banjos.

A fine trippy vibe on this! Liked the ethereal feel!

Well produced; really nice sounding song!

Psychedelic & smooth.
I rather like those flangy vocals & the delayed attack on the guitar.

Nice.  8)

You have totally upped your game production-wise. You always pick a cool vocal rhythm that works against the other instrumentation. Mot even sure if you're aware of it.

Very cool post, brother.

Listened to this a few days back - catching up now.
This has got some great recorded sounds - particularly the guitar tone is great. Love the low key vocals, makes it quite mysterious. Super recording brother.
