Here's a bit of fun for a change...well, "fun" on my terms, I guess ;)

Everything here is first takes, except lead vocal which is a mix of takes one and two.
The guitars all are a cheapest of the Squiers, the infamous Bullet Strat.
Drum track is an 12-bar jam track I built last year with the excellent Ezdrummer by Toontrack.

A hot summer morning
I feel the stench of the city crawl in
and wait for the counsil
wondering where to begin
Last night in Berlin
was a real tailspin
but I just carried on driving
towards Amsterdam
but I'd rather been stuck in my own cozy bed
than to be saved by my
bulletproof Pontiac Trans Am

She asked me where I'd been
when I picked her up at the Inn
though I'm inclined to wonder
she could always pull me back in
I told her about Berlin
and the mess I was in
while we kept on driving
through the gunfire and sand
and  I'd rather be stuck in my own cozy bed
than to be saved by my
bulletproof Pontiac Trans Am

She wondered "is it like this often"
I say, "every now and then"
It was already half past ten
and I was dead bored again
I kept thinking about Berlin
and the escape from Motor Inn
and the strange sound of the violin
and German traffic jam
but I'd rather been stuck in my own cozy bed
than to be saved by my
bulletproof Pontiac Trans Am

We crash through a road-block
There was nothin' to knock on
Just another mile on
And the sunshine will come
But it'll never be Berlin
This city's just a has-been
so I carry on driving
with the bullets bouncing
Yes  I'd rather be stuck in my own cozy bed
than to be saved by my
bulletproof Pontiac Trans Am

All I can send here are lyrics but no track? ???

Farrell Jackson

I like songs that include cars in the lyric. This is a real rocker and I think your Squire Bullet Strat is as bullet proof as your bullet proof Pontiac Trans Am. Good work!

the player should be on top of the lyric box. It's a player for a little used Finnish site called Mikseri.
I would upload straight up in here but I don't like to compress the files too much.

Thanks! Guitars on this one are played through a Guitar Rig 5. I only use a few Orange Crush and 5150 pre-settings with that so has to be one of those.

Here's a simple video for the song...

This is an awesome song!  The beat and the bass drive it home.  The lyrics are terrific, and your vocal delivers them with THE attitude.  You don't play them like cheap guitars.

What a lyric:

"I'd rather be stuck in my own cozy bed
than to be saved by my
bulletproof Pontiac Trans Am"

That is so cool!
