This is too good to be labelled as a tribute. It's a fully-fledged, fully-realised song in its own right. I love the layering and mixing on the guitars. REALLY nice work, Jim.

Ferryman

I like this a lot but it didn't really remind me of U2, altho I have to say I haven't listened to them much since "Boy", which was a stunning album, the rest seemed a bit downhill from there to me.

Nice chord sequences and a bit different from your usual style Jim, good job here. Very good stuff.

Thanks everyone, this song was a little different from my usual style.
I felt that after  I recorded it I should give the EDGE from U2 some props because the one guitar part reminded me so much of his style, But the other guitar part is not his style at all. I guess they blended well. ;D
