This is a backer I use to limber up on... vaguely Mark Knopfler-ish :)

Nice playing, Johnny. Please tell us a bit about it. Which instruments did you use? Is it your own composition? What did you record this with? How did you do the drum track? What is the tempo in BPM?

Okey Dokey... It's a jam track I put together in a hurry for a lesson a while back. I've scanned the chord chart that I wrote out for it...

I loosely based it on a sort of Dire Straits feel. Guitar was my tele; bass - Ebay no-name special; drums - Cakewalk Studio Instruments (Slight Beef preset kit) & organ - ORGANised VST, all put together in Cakewalk Music Creator. The tempo is 130 bpm. Oh, and the guitar was played through the Vox Tonelab ST on the US HIGAIN model.

Hope this helps :)

Cheers,

John.

Thanks for the info, Johnny. And thanks for posting your backer. I think there are several Dire Straits fans here (steelguitar comes to mind) who will love to use this backer for their own recording.

This is brilliant Johnny........I can't wait to have a jam over this when I get the chance.  I really appreciate you putting this one up.  Thanks mate.  Thanks for the chord chart, that will give me some ideas for playing along.
