Hi Chaps,

Just a quick word to apologise for my rather infrequent posting/commenting lately. My best mate - a bloke I've known since the early '80s has just bought a pub in the middle of nowhere. It's in a tiny village (only 140 residents) in the Yorkshire Dales. He's really short staffed (many of the barmaids/waitresses who work there are farmers wives/daughters & this is lambing season so can't work their normal hours). I'm staying there a couple of days a week at the moment & helping out in the bar... in the kitchen... waiting on tables etc etc. When I'm not doing that he's got me upgrading the pub website. And when I'm not doing that... I have my own business to run.

Oh... and here's the website: it's still a work in progress, but I reckon it's shaping up rather well :)

Cheers chaps!

John.

Sounds like you have a bit of an interesting adventure going on with this wonderful looking pub.  I wish your friend all the best.  Do you pull out your guitar on occasion and entertain the diners when not busy with all the other stuff?  I'm thinking some nice quiet jazz guitar would go down nice.

Very cool site/ Inn & it does seem like the perfect location to try out a few jazz tunes. As much as I want your friend to succeed,It really makes me smile that his whole operation is thwarted by "Lambing Season" . It's a different world you live in my brother. I would love one day to pull up a stool next to you and enjoy a brew.
As far as posting is concerned, if your in the Top 5 posters I'm pretty sure you need no apology. In fact you should never feel the need to apologize, we all have lives and priorities. Your have really submerged yourself here and your contributions are always anxiously received. I look forward to your next post and keep us updated on your friends pup and your inevitable involvement.

That's a very appealing pub your friend has Johnny. If I lived close I'd be a regular there...pub grub, brews, plus more = perfect! As far as posting....we all post where time allows but I don't think you've let down on your end at all.

After reading the menu I'm now craving fish and chips with something tasty to wash it down with....

Looks great John, There is always something about a pub with the name Inn in it, Sort of Old Fashioned,

I had a mate with a pub in Liverpool called  The Cockwell Inn.  But the police made him change it.. :D

You just post when you can John , Take care and try and stay sober.. :D
